PDT Is A Success For FCU Boys & Girls

Last weekend another group of FCU Boys and Girls teams made the trip out to Phoenix for the 2020 Presidents Day Tournament hosted by SC Del Sol. FCU was represented well by all teams who competed throughout and a number of teams brought some well-earned hardware back to Chicago!

Our Girls teams had an outstanding weekend in Phoenix with six teams placing in the event. The Girls 2004 Predator, Girls 2003 Pre-Academy Copa, and Girls 2003 Pre-Academy 1 teams all finished in 3rd. The 2004 Predator Girls had to go beyond extra time to a PK shootout to earn a third place finish on the weekend. The 2002 Pre-Academy 1 Girls played a very tough final game and ended their weekend as Finalists. Two of our girls' teams; 2005 Pre-Academy Copa and 2007 Pre-Academy won their respective divisions and finished the weekend as 2020 PDT Champions. Congratulations to all of our Girls teams for their high level of play and competition throughout the weekend!

Our Boys teams were well represented throughout the weekend, playing at a very high level against top competition. Our 2007 Pre-Academy Boys played very well all weekend long and saw their efforts rewarded with a third place finish in the event. The 2004 Pre-Academy White Boys finished top of their group and earned a place in the finals. After a long and hard-fought game extending past extra time coming down to a PK shootout, the 2004 Pre-Academy White Boys finished their weekend as tournament finalists.

All teams played extremely well all weekend long and we are very proud of all of the players and coaches for their efforts. We saw a lot of high-level play and are very excited to continue to make our way through the Winter season and into Spring.
