We strive to provide an environment that is positive, competitive, challenging and rewarding for every player in every season while fostering, developing, and furthering a passion for soccer within every player in our club.

STYLE OF PLAY

As a club, we want our teams to be comfortable in possession and build from the back, while being very forward thinking and always looking to break lines to play through and behind the opponent with purpose.  When we don't have the ball, we want to be highly organized collectively, we get compact quickly in order to press, to deny our opponent playing forward and to limit opponent chances at our goal.  We value transition, and aim to be dominant in moments of attacking transition and counter pressing.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY

Following decades of experience, Chicago FC United has developed its own Club methodology for training.  We believe in a game-based approach to training and developing players because it is more enjoyable for players, and it better promotes the development of game understanding and tactical decision making.
